James D. Kondrup, M.D., FACOG is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is recognized national and internationally as a leader and trainer in Minimally Invasive Surgery for women. He is the past Chairman of the Lourdes Hospital Robotics Committee and present Chairman of the Lourdes Hospital Minimally Surgery Committee (now encompasses the Robotics Committee). He is dedicated to providing women with the latest options in Minimally invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Infertility and Hereditary Cancer screening and treatment.
Dr. Kondrup and his team have has developed several innovative minimally invasive techniques and procedures. He has also, along with two other inventors, developed and has a patent pending on a device called LI Endofield™ designed to make laparoscopic surgery safer for both men and women. Surgeons from different parts of the country come to watch and learn his techniques at Lourdes Hospital. He also travels to other hospitals and cities here in the U.S. and internationally to perform surgery, train surgeons, give lectures and courses and to train the trainers that will teach other surgeons. He is a dynamic speaker and has given lectures and performed live surgery in front of large audiences of surgeons (see speaking engagements).
Dr. Kondrup also specializes in the areas of endometriosis, fibroids, adhesions and pelvic pain. These include surgical as well as non-surgical options. He brings with him over 32 years of infertility evaluation and treatment options.
